BOS is a registered charity, and its aim is to "promote
the preservation of the wild orangutan in its natural habitat, to promote
its long term welfare in Indonesia and to protect it from extinction for
the public benefit; and to advance the education of the public benefit
in the study, preservation and protection of the wild orangutan".
KÖSEN is supporting BOS in their aims. Our life-like plush
Orangutan (classic range), which represents a 2-year
old animal, demonstrates to children and parents how marvellous these
animals are. There is also an Orangutan in the license
range.
KÖSEN donates €3 per sold plush animal to the reintroduction centres in
which more than 1,000 orangutans are being prepared for their release
into the wild.
Townsmen - The Story so far ...
Once there were calm times in the peaceful empire of King Guido, till a
reckless horde of settlers invaded in the northwestern part of the realm
and disturbed the mellow harmony. The "Townies", as the folks
called the savages, were barbarians without any decency and manner. Very
quick they had got a grip in this fertile valley and it looked almost impossible
to get rid of them again. The Townies were excellent craftsmen and in the
twinkling of an eye they had built a mighty settlement. They used the comprehensive
raw materials of their environment and lived well from the fishery and their
own pig farms.
The king couldn't banish them from his land anymore, so he tried to punish
them with high taxes and bring them down that way. But instead of being
frightened, those rebels went out and looted neighbouring provinces and
their power grew from month to month.
As the king tempted to discover new lands to displace his wounded power,
his forced army met up with the superior Townies again and lost the battle.
Since then the king has retired with his family in the highlands. He now
leads a pig breed and lives with his wife and their two daughters in unison
with nature.
